Birthday Craft Fair Invitation

"Creative people are curious, flexible, persistent and independent with a tremendous spirit of adventure and a love of play." ~ Henri Matisse

Consider this your invitation to a lovely series of posts from Mary Ashley's recent birthday party. I loved making pot holders when I was her age, so last summer I bought her a kit with a loom and loops. This "gateway craft" opened a whole new world to our sweet girl, and Mary Ashley has since been eager to take on all kinds of projects. In the past few months she has tried scrapbooking, jewelry making and counted cross-stitch. She has shown such creative talent already, and we are both excited that we share this passion.

To celebrate her 9th birthday, we invited a few friends to join us for Mary Ashley's Birthday Craft Fair. We shared a lovely afternoon of lunch and crafts, and I can't wait to show you how our day unfolded.

Pretty, shabby chic invitations set the tone for our party. I designed these invitations with digital papers by SunshineLemons. I added dimension to the invitations by securing hand-cut frames and bunting with pop dots. Delicate paper roses from Michaels added the finishing touch to this feminine design.

Mary Ashley hand-delivered each invitation wrapped in a heart-shaped doily folded into an envelope, tied with ribbon, and finished off with a name tag punched like a button. You are invited to stop in each day for creative inspiration from Mary Ashley's Birthday Craft Fair. We have so many ideas to share!
